Consent In Practice – Caturday College Series #2

Saturday October 25, 2014

We are all familiar with slogans such as “Consent is Sexy” or “Got Consent” but what do consent practices look like in different contexts? Consent relies on communication, which we all know has it’s share of risk factors for being misunderstood. Each community or type of event will have it’s own social norms, protocols, and expectations. Even words can have different meaning in different communities, can be used to describe very different activities. What can we do to minimize the risk involved when determining consent? What do we do when despite all good intentions there is a misunderstanding regarding consent?

Course Contents:
As part of this course, Moon Dancer went through various situations that happen throughout your life and how to utilize consent and proper communication within all these situations
